Mothers

Mothers

Mother’s Day always makes me think about the stories we carry.

By Sharon Pate, Founder of and Author for Far Fetched Gems SLP

The ones we’re born into. The ones we grow through. The ones we rewrite. And the ones we pass down.

Jewelry has always been part of that. Not because it’s shiny or pretty — but because it becomes a marker of who we were in a moment that mattered.

A ring from a mother. A necklace from a grandmother. A piece chosen during a season of becoming.

These aren’t accessories. They’re chapters.

Why Jewelry Means More on Mother’s Day

When we give jewelry on Mother’s Day, we’re not giving an object. We’re giving:

  • a memory

  • a thank you

  • a “I see you”

  • a “you matter to me”

  • a piece of ourselves

Jewelry becomes the thing she reaches for when she wants to feel grounded. The thing she wears when she needs strength. The thing she keeps because it reminds her of love.

It becomes part of her story.

For the Mothers Who Raised Us

Some mothers are soft. Some are fierce. Some are both.

Some taught us how to love. Some taught us how to survive. Some taught us how to rebuild.

A ring or necklace becomes a way of saying: “Thank you for shaping me.”

For the Mothers We’re Becoming

Motherhood isn’t just a role — it’s a transformation. A new chapter. A new identity. A new kind of strength.

Jewelry becomes a reminder of who she is outside of the roles she carries.

A reminder that she is still a woman with dreams, softness, fire, and depth.

For the Women Who Mother in Their Own Way

Aunties. Sisters. Mentors. Friends. The women who show up with love that feels like home.

Mother’s Day is for them too.

A ring becomes a way of saying: “You mattered in my becoming.”

Why I Sell Jewelry for Moments Like This

Every piece is meant to hold meaning. To feel like a chapter marker. To become part of someone’s story — whether they’re giving it or receiving it.

Because jewelry isn’t just worn. It’s remembered.

And on Mother’s Day, that matters even more.

If you’re choosing a piece today…

Choose the one that feels like her. Choose the one that feels like the chapter she’s in. Choose the one that carries the emotion you can’t quite put into words.

Because in the end…

Rings Tell a Story. What’s Your Next Chapter?
